When people search for Vicki Hollub and Justin Bieber, they may expect to find a collaboration, family connection, friendship, or another direct relationship between the two names. However, available reliable biographical and professional sources do not establish a documented personal, family, business, or entertainment partnership between them.
The reason the search phrase can be confusing is that Hollub and Bieber are both recognizable public figures, but they come from entirely different professional worlds. Vicki Hollub is an American business executive and mineral engineer associated with the energy industry, while Justin Bieber is a Canadian singer and songwriter whose career developed through online music videos and international pop success.
This article explains who each person is, why their names may appear together online, and what can—and cannot—be established about a connection between them.
Who Is Vicki Hollub?
Vicki Hollub is an American business executive and mineral engineer who has built a career in the oil and gas industry. She became president and chief executive officer of Occidental Petroleum Corporation in April 2016 after holding a series of technical and management positions at the company.
Hollub studied mineral engineering at the University of Alabama and earned her bachelor’s degree in 1981. Her career began with Cities Service, which was later acquired by Occidental. She subsequently worked in several technical and leadership roles, including assignments connected with operations in the United States, Russia, Venezuela, and Ecuador.
Vicki Hollub’s Career at Occidental
Hollub spent decades progressing through Occidental’s organization before becoming CEO. Her earlier responsibilities included work involving the company’s Permian Basin operations, U.S. operations, California activities, and international business.
Lockheed Martin’s official board biography notes that Hollub joined Occidental’s board in 2015 and became president and CEO in 2016. It also records her earlier position as president and chief operating officer.
Her professional profile therefore centers on:
- Energy and oil production
- Mineral and petroleum engineering
- Corporate management
- International operations
- Executive leadership
- Energy-industry organizations
Hollub has also held board and industry positions outside her primary executive role. The Conference Board lists her as a director of Lockheed Martin and describes her long management career at Occidental.
Who Is Justin Bieber?
Justin Bieber is a Canadian singer and songwriter who became internationally famous as a teenager. His early career developed after videos of him performing songs were posted online, eventually attracting the attention of music manager Scooter Braun and singer Usher.
Bieber released his debut EP, My World, in 2009. His subsequent albums and singles established him as a major figure in contemporary pop music. His catalog includes widely known songs such as “Baby,” “Sorry,” “Love Yourself,” “What Do You Mean?,” “Peaches,” and “Stay.”
Justin Bieber’s Professional Background
Unlike Hollub’s engineering and corporate career, Bieber’s work is primarily connected with music and entertainment.
His career includes:
- Recording albums and singles
- Live performances
- Songwriting and collaborations
- Music videos
- International tours
- Brand and entertainment projects
Biography.com describes Bieber as a Grammy-winning artist whose career began after his online performances attracted widespread attention.
Is There a Connection Between Vicki Hollub and Justin Bieber?
Based on the reliable sources reviewed, there is no established public evidence of a direct relationship between Vicki Hollub and Justin Bieber.
No credible source reviewed documents them as:
- Business partners
- Family members

Their names appearing together in a search query should therefore not be treated as evidence that they know each other or have worked together.
A recent webpage specifically discussing the phrase “Vicki Hollub and Justin Bieber” likewise states that reliable biographical sources do not establish a personal, family, business, or professional partnership between them.
Why Are Vicki Hollub and Justin Bieber Searched Together?
There are several ordinary reasons why two unrelated public figures can appear together in online searches.
Search Queries Can Combine Unrelated Names
Someone researching two people at the same time might enter both names into a search engine. Search results can then produce pages containing both names even when the individuals have no direct connection.
For example:
Search: “Vicki Hollub and Justin Bieber”
This does not necessarily mean:
Correct interpretation: The user wants information about both people.
It does not automatically mean:
Incorrect interpretation: Hollub and Bieber have a documented relationship.
That distinction is particularly important when researching celebrity and executive names.
Online Articles Can Create Name Associations
Websites sometimes publish pages containing multiple public figures. Search engines can index those pages and associate names that appear in the same article, category, or website.
A recent article using the exact search phrase discusses Hollub and Bieber primarily as two people from different professional fields.
Vicki Hollub vs. Justin Bieber
Although their names may appear together in searches, their public careers are substantially different.
| Category | Vicki Hollub | Justin Bieber |
|---|---|---|
| Profession | Business executive and mineral engineer | Singer and songwriter |
| Main industry | Energy and oil and gas | Music and entertainment |
| National background | American | Canadian |
| Education/career foundation | Mineral engineering | Early musical development and online performances |
| Major public organization | Occidental Petroleum | Recording and music industry |
| Public role | Corporate executive | Recording artist and performer |
| Career development | Engineering and management | Online music exposure and professional recording |
These differences help explain why a search for both names can be confusing. They belong to very different areas of public life.
Vicki Hollub’s Engineering Background
One of the most important details about Hollub’s career is her technical education.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in mineral engineering from the University of Alabama in 1981. Her professional development then combined engineering knowledge with operational and management experience.
Her career demonstrates how an engineering education can lead beyond technical positions into corporate leadership.
Rather than entering entertainment or media, Hollub developed expertise in areas such as energy operations, business management, and corporate strategy.
Justin Bieber’s Rise in Music
Bieber’s career followed a very different path.
His mother posted videos of his performances online when he was young. Those videos helped attract attention and eventually led to professional opportunities. According to Biography.com, Scooter Braun discovered his videos in 2008 and helped arrange an audition with Usher.
That early online exposure became the foundation for a global music career.
His development illustrates a different type of modern career path: digital content leading to professional opportunities in the entertainment industry.
Common Mistakes When Researching Their Names
Searchers should be careful about making assumptions based only on a keyword phrase.
Mistake 1: Assuming a Search Phrase Proves a Relationship
Seeing two names together does not prove that the people are connected.
Incorrect:
“Vicki Hollub and Justin Bieber appear together online, so they must have worked together.”
Better:
“Both names appear in online search results, but reliable sources do not establish a documented professional relationship.”
Mistake 2: Treating Unverified Claims as Biography
A biography should rely on identifiable and reasonably authoritative sources.
For Hollub, corporate and institutional biographies provide information about her education and career. Lockheed Martin and The Conference Board, for example, document her executive background.
For Bieber, established biographical sources document his music career and rise to fame.
Mistake 3: Confusing Similar Names
Online searches can also produce people with similar first or last names. This is especially important when searching for executives, entertainers, athletes, and other public figures.
Before accepting a claim, check:
- The person’s full name
- Their profession
- Their location or nationality
- The date of the information
- The credibility of the source
What Can Be Confirmed About Vicki Hollub and Justin Bieber?
The available evidence supports a straightforward conclusion: they are two separate public figures whose professional backgrounds are well documented independently.
Hollub’s public profile is associated with Occidental Petroleum, engineering, energy operations, and corporate leadership.
Bieber’s public profile is associated with songwriting, recording, performing, and popular music.
There is no reliable evidence in the sources reviewed establishing a shared business venture, family relationship, or entertainment collaboration.
That distinction matters because an SEO keyword or combined search query can sometimes make two unrelated people appear more closely connected than the evidence supports.
